I think it is mega important if you are going to opt for a band instead of a DJ to ensure that the band is good as people will remember and if it's bad it could leave a bitter memory of the wedding as a whole - a real shame after all the effort you put in. My wedding was really low key and the wedding DJ was a tape I put together the night before - yes cheap I know - but it worked well. However, a friend and business partner here in Cairo hired Amr Diab (a very famous singer in these parts) and no-one has ever forgotten his wedding. Mind you - it did cost him £250,000.
